About
Hi 👋, I’m Martin. On this site, I share ideas about programming and software, keep a record of the solutions I arrive at, and post tutorials.
As a little background: I was first introduced to programming in a course at University (I learned the basics of C++ while studying for a Bachelor of Civil Engineering). I enjoyed that course, but in the following years, I focused on civil engineering so my interest in software had to wait. It was in early 2018 that my interest sparked again when my manager at the time wrote a Python code for automating repetitive tasks the team was doing manually - I saw so much potential I felt inspired. From that point onwards I embarked on the journey of teaching myself to code.
In the past, I did a lot of VBA, Python, and AutoLISP scripting for electrical drawings automation (Cabinets in Tunnels). As I learned more languages I gravitated toward learning how to develop complex systems (not only scripts but scalable applications). I am currently focused on developing C# .NET Revit Addins and web APIs, and I still work on Python projects for processing data and web applications.
So here I am, still learning, and now wanting to share some of my learnings through this website.
If you’d like to connect, I’d love to hear from you. You can leave me a message in this form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
See you around,
Martin
