For a while, I’ve wanted to write a quick note on m2p, a tool in AutoCAD.

I call it a “tool” because I’m not sure if it is a command. One of the comments in this video calls it a “data input method”, not a command. It is a very useful tool.

What I find interesting about this tool is that you can use it in the middle of the execution of any other command: you can be for example drawing a line with LINE, and you use m2p twice if you want to pick the starting and ending point (four clicks in total). That’s where the power of it lies I think.
